October Shows & News

Welcome to October, Folks!

After enjoying some down time, Billy is back on the road and ready to go. And he has some amazing friends joining him at upcoming shows.

Juan Holladay will be on percussion and harmony in Maryland and Virginia. Look for him again at the Lake Eden Arts Festival on Sunday the 22nd, where Ashley Farmer and Don Porterfield (you may remember them fondly from the New Jersey Folk Festival) will be on harmony and harmony/fretless bass, respectively. Ashley, Don, and Juan will also join Billy at Gaston Public Library the week before LEAF, on Thursday the 19th. See the sidebar for more details on all upcoming shows.

Pots & Pans Xylophone / Tin Can Xylophone
Billy has been collecting for years, and now he has a full diatonic scale of cooking skillets  which is hanging in his living room, right above the portrait of Jimi Hendrix.  Also, after some sorting during the past month, he now has a 2 octave spread of coffee cans / soup cans in search of a stable yet portable mounting system. Any suggestions?

What have you been collecting that may be the perfect music maker?

Halloween
When asked, Billy replied without hesitation that his favorite thing about October 31st is people who celebrate the day by wearing costumes the whole day. This is what he intends to do in New York City, where he will be at the end of this month (check out the show at Brooklyn Botanic Gardens two days before Halloween, Sunday the 29th).

Billy is still working on songs for a new CD, so we will be sure to keep you posted.

Dont forget: Everybody is in the Band!
